In Business: Taziki’s Mediterranean Café

Posted by: Megan Campbell on Wednesday, June 17, 2015
3604 Pelham Rd, Suite A, Greenville Monday - Sunday, 11am-9pm Taziki’s Mediterranean Café opened their first restaurant in Greenville yesterday! Celebrating at the ribbon cutting ceremony were staff, friends, family, founder Keith Richards, President and CEO Jim Keet, and Taziki’s local owner Joe Norton. Taziki’s was founded following Keith and Amy Richard’s vacation to Greece 18 years ago. Falling in love with the food and culture, Keith and Amy wanted to bring a piece of Greece back home. They built the first restaurant themselves, and began serving the Mediterranean cuisine they’d loved so much in an atmosphere that felt just like home. Taziki’s has since grown to become very successful and wildly popular, with 44 locations in 13 states. Locations in Mount Pleasant, Charleston, and Columbia have recently opened in South Carolina to great acclaim. Keet anticipates that they will soon have around 100 locations nationwide. Don’t let the size fool you though – each location is locally owned and has that “homey” feel, just as Keith and Amy intended. The pictures on the walls are all Keith and Amy’s photos from their trip to Greece. The gallery includes scenes from the local restaurants and markets, with Keith and Amy even making some cameo appearances in a few! Adding to the “homey” factor is the quality of food. This is what Keet says first attracted him to Taziki’s and what set it apart. The menu curated by Keith and Amy combines creative new twists and old classics. You’re sure to find tons of new favorites, but what you won’t find are freezers and fryers. Everything at Taziki’s is cooked fresh daily. Combine fresh, quality food with charitable giving and you have a recipe for success – a recipe Taziki’s has mastered. Taziki’s has a rich history of giving back to the community and the Greenville location is no different. During the ceremony, a check was presented to The Family Effect, received by their Manager of Community Engagement, Kelly Byers. The $3,000 in funds was raised during Taziki’s Family & Friends event earlier this week. If you’re ready to try Taziki’s today, visit them at 3604 Pelham Rd, Suite A in the Earth Fare Shopping Center. We recommend the Salmon Salad, and for a refreshing side, try the Tomato-Cucumber Salad. Give it a try and let us know if you love it as much as we do! Check out the full menu at .
