Local Businesswoman Julie Godshall Brown to Lead Chamber in 2015

Exciting news for the Chamber and the Greenville business community! Julie Godshall Brown, President and Owner of Godshall Professional Recruiting and Staffing, has been selected to serve as Chair-Elect of the Chamber Board of Directors for 2014. Julie will then serve as Chair of the Chamber Board in 2015. [caption id="attachment_326" align="alignright" width="300" caption="Julie Godshall Brown"][/caption] Julie has had an active leadership role in the Chamber for many years. She has served on the Chamber Board since 2010, and is currently in her second year as Vice-Chair of Organization Excellence. Among other roles, Julie’s previous leadership at the Chamber includes chairing a small business task force as well as service on the ACCELERATE! Investor Council. Julie has been active with other organizations in the community, including service as Chair of the Board for the Better Business Bureau, President of the Greenville Society of Human Resources, and on the Greenville County Workforce Investment Board. A Clemson graduate and an enthusiastic Tiger fan, Julie has served on Clemson’s Board of Visitors since 2007 where she has also assumed numerous leadership roles including her current service as Secretary. Julie is uniquely prepared and equipped to serve as Chamber Chair. As the owner of her own business, Julie possesses in-depth knowledge about the business community and the Chamber. She’ll leverage this knowledge with her extensive business experience and proven leadership capabilities to continue moving Greenville forward. As Chair-Elect, Julie will work directly with 2014 Board Chair Tim Reed next year as she prepares to serve as Chair in 2015. A Chair-Elect, Julie will also chair the Chamber’s Board of Advisors, a group of 50 business and organization leaders who meet quarterly to review business community progress and needs, and provide planning for Chamber initiatives. Julie will be the fifth woman to serve as Chair of the Chamber Board of Directors. The 2013 Board and the Chamber Staff are excited about Julie’s leadership!
