Pulse Young Professionals
About Greenville Chamber Young Professionals
Greenville Chamber Young Professionals is designed for young professionals (ages 22-39) in the Upstate area. As a voice for the Upstate young talent, we connect, engage and inspire through leadership development and social enrichment and community investment.
Greenville Chamber Young Professionals focuses on both social and leadership development for young professionals. The program consists of monthly events for its members, ranging from leadership luncheons, professional development seminars and social networking opportunities. These activities will serve to connect young professionals to the community and provide them with meaningful opportunities to interact with others in their age group, as well as with business and community leaders.
To date, our program is one of the largest young professional groups in the Southeast, and the largest in South Carolina.
Developing the Program
In 2003, the Greenville Chamber, in collaboration with community leaders and the general public, embarked on a comprehensive visioning process intended to identify what improvements should be made to the city in order to reflect the changing times and position Greenville to be a premier American city. One of the struggles highlighted was recruiting and retaining young talent in the region. In an effort to address the question of how to attract and retain young professional talent, as well as to meet the goals the community has outlined for itself, a volunteer group of young professionals teamed with the Greenville Chamber to develop a program to do just that. Pulse was kicked off in October 2005, and has grown extensively since, leading to a rebrand in 2018 and a new name- Greenville Chamber Young Professionals.
To ensure collaboration between young professionals throughout the Upstate, Greer and Simpsonville Chamber members are able to join Young Professionals at the Investor rate!
