Join us for this special joint Healthcare and Legislative Issues Committee Update as we welcome Rozalyn Goodwin and Alan Stalvey with the S.C. Hospital Association as they discuss the “private option,” an alternative to Medicaid expansion that some states are turning to insure those falling in the Medicaid gap. Manatt Health Solutions will also be presenting the economic impact of Medicaid expansion alternatives in South Carolina and the Upstate. We encourage you to attend this informative meeting to kick off our 2016 meetings!
Our Non-Profit highlight for the month will be the Greenville Free Clinic. Suzanne Foley with the clinic will be sharing some information on how they serve the Greenville community and patients that fall into the Medicaid gap.
Networking will begin at 7:30am and the meeting will be from 8-9am.
While there is no cost to attend, please pre-register.
The mission of the Healthcare Issues Committee is to create an environment that fosters and promotes the delivery of world class healthcare for the greater Greenville community. To be eligible for consideration, a candidate must be a leader in a Healthcare Provider setting that is an Investor in good standing with the Greenville Chamber. A Healthcare Provider is defined as a person, organization or agency that delivers healthcare services directly to consumers. This does not include agencies or organizations that provide product or services to Healthcare Providers. Prospective Chamber Investors may attend one meeting as a guest of an Healthcare Issues Committee member.
The Transportation Committee meets the 3rd Friday of each month beginning at 8:00 am. in the Greenville Chamber board room. This committee is open to any Chamber Investor interested in issues related to transportation and infrastructure. This committee often hosts guest presentations on important issues such as road projects, rail, air service, public transportation, and our ports. If you are interested in such topics, we encourage you to attend a meeting soon.
