My story begins right here in the Upstate, growing up in the small, historic town of Cowpens, in Spartanburg County. I remained in Spartanburg for college, receiving my B.A. in Psychology from Converse College (go Pink Panthers!)
Most of my career was spent in outside sales, in industries such as Healthcare, until 2014, when I accepted a position as a Tour Guide for a large, international Upstate company. It was there that I realized both my passion for tourism, as well as my ability to effectively advocate for the many unique features and benefits of our area. My role as an Investor Development Manager at the Chamber has provided me with the opportunity to combine my business development experience and desire to be a true champion for the Upstate. As someone whose family has historically had a vested interest in the Greenville business climate (my grandfather owned a house-moving company located behind what is now Haywood Mall), I look forward to adding my contribution to the footprint of the ever-evolving business landscape of Greenville.
I am the proud mom of 2 awesome teens…an 18 year old son who attends USC, majoring in Mandarin and International Business, and a 15 year old daughter whose passion is musical theatre. When not spending time with my kids, or tending to my 3 cats’ demands, I enjoy yoga, gymnastics, baking, dancing, travel, enjoying the awesome food scene in Greenville, and learning new languages. History is a lifelong interest, and I enjoy exploring historic sites both locally, and nationally/internationally.
I look forward to interacting with members of the business community, and partnering with them on the many initiatives of the Chamber, designed to help maintain the thriving business climate in our fair city…let me know how I can help you and your business today!
