In past decades, extraordinarily low percentages of women and minorities can be found at the executive level where decisions are made. Statistics also reveal the composition of boards are primarily white and male. Bill Proudman, CEO and co-founder of White Men As Full Diversity Partners (WMFDP), observed that white men executives did not eagerly participate in diversity initiatives and inclusion efforts in their organizations. He began his pioneered learning labs of white-men-only diversity in the 1990s in order to motivate leaders to develop an inclusive work environment.
Noticing the lack of white men in equity and inclusion and wanting to encourage them to get more involved in diversity programs, Bill Proudman developed WMFDP’s provocative approach to engaging white male business leaders in inclusion efforts. The Greenville Chamber has invited Bill to join the roster of presenters at the inaugural Diversity and Inclusion Summit so people can be exposed to his message “The Role of White Men in Equity and Inclusion.” As a Keynote Speaker, Bill will share how white men influence partnerships at work. Attendees will learn strategies for how to partner more effectively in order to facilitate organizational success, specifically as it relates to leveraging diversity and inclusion in the workplace.
Bill has more than 35-years of experience in leadership development as a consultant, coach and facilitator to countless organizations and executives around the globe on issues of team effectiveness, cultural competency, and inclusion.
