In Business: The Salvation Army Family Store

Posted by: Megan Campbell on Tuesday, April 4, 2017

The Salvation Army Family Store on Rutherford Street recently celebrated their re-opening following the completion of some major renovations.

This was the Family Store’s first facelift since it opened 23 years ago. The space is now lighter and brighter with repaired and repainted walls, updated floors, and ductwork that is now painted “Salvation Army red.”

The renovations were funded by Fluor Corporation.

When you donate goods to The Salvation Army, those goods are then sold through The Salvation Army Family Store. The proceeds from those purchases are used to fund critical programs, such as character building programs for youth, music training, community-building and fellowship for adults and housing assistance. Every donation and every purchase at the Family Store makes a life-changing difference.
