Born and raised in Brooklyn, New York I attended my final year of high school at Greenville Senior High (Go Raiders!) After graduation I attended Benedict College, received my AA in Criminal Justice from Greenville Technical College and currently enrolled at Southern Wesleyan University completing my bachelors in Business Administration.
Please don’t tell my family, but I consider Greenville to be home. My family and I travel back to New York as often as time permits, my love for the city simply limits itself to annual visits to see my family and then back to the peace and serenity of the south. My career journey has been quite the ride much like the drive from New York to South Carolina. I started my career with the state of South Carolina working for DHEC and Department of Health and Human Services. Became a relator and sold residential real estate for both Prudential C. Dan Joyner and Keller Williams Realty. Later worked for a manufacturing company as a buyer where I got the entrepreneurial itch and purchased the hot dog King a local downtown historical restaurant. After closing down the business I later worked for a local company as the director of first impressions which launched my opportunity with the Greenville Chamber and Pulse.
All of these experiences prepared me for not only a really long resume, but paved a way for my current roles as Project Administrator for Jordon Construction Company and as the Leadership Development Coordinator for the Greenville Chamber. In each of these roles, I get to do and support the things that I’m most passionate about. Chamber staff, Investors relations, community partners, and Pulse Young Professionals of the Upstate. My role as coordinator will be to support all Leadership Development programs with an emphasis on Pulse YP’s of the Chamber.
Not a whole lot of free time, my schedule seems to be on overload with four children, two jobs, and being a full time student. The highlight of my weekend is typically spent with my children at some sporting event (soccer, basketball, track and field, football) where I can be found being by far the loudest parent there! When I’m not completely embarrassing my children, I enjoy traveling, trying new local restaurants, reading a really good book and volunteering my time in this wonderful community. I’m beyond the words of excitement to be a part of the Chamber staff and look forward to continuing to do something that matters.
